You probably have a lot of questions in relation to the specifics of our services! Before you contact us, you can check in this FAQ to see some common queries we receive – so you know whether we’re the right fit for your pet!
Frequently Asked Questions:
1. How much does it cost?
Boarding at Tinahely Pet Lodge costs €20 per night for dogs, and €10 per night for cats. We count a ‘night’ as 24 hours starting from the time you check your pet in.
2. Does my pet need to be vaccinated?
All pets must be vaccinated, and proof supplied. This is for the safety of your pet, as well as all others. You must also supply a picture of your pet’s vaccination card via WhatsApp at the time of booking. All your pets must be wormed, and dogs must also have the kennel cough vaccination.
3. Do I bring food for my pet?
Yes, you should bring any and all food required for their animal(s) at the time of drop-off. This prevents any upset tummies that can result from a change in diet.
4. What time is check-in/collection?
You can drop off/collect your pet from 8am-10am and 4pm-6pm. We will provide you with a set time within this window when you make the booking – however you can request alternative times, and we try to arrange them where possible.
5. Will I bring my pet’s bed?
We provide plastic dog beds. However you are welcome to bring any soft bedding your pet may require. Cats have access to igloos and soft bedding. However, feel free to bring your pet’s favourite!
6. Will my pet be exercised?
Yes. For dogs we have a safe, large, enclosed area in which dogs can play off lead. Where appropriate dogs will be walked in our large field and our small but beautiful copse. Generally, we give dogs individual time in the enclosed area several times a day. If particular dogs are getting along well together, then we may exercise them together. We always strictly supervise dogs when they are out of their enclosures.
Cats have access to a large, enclosed play area in the cattery for a period each day. We do not mix the cats. The area offers climbing structures and obstacles to keep your cat stimulated.
